Welcome to The English Tearoom
We are a quintessentially British, family friendly tearoom, located on the edge of Beijing’s Shunyi district behind the Beidong Flower Market.
We are very proud to serve ‘real tea’ in traditional English style teapots. Our tea selection includes a variety of black teas, green tea, rooibos, herbal and fruit tea, all imported from the UK. We also offer a selection of gourmet coffees, fresh fruit juices and smoothies.
Traditional English scones and a selection of classic British cakes and biscuits are baked daily, and our light-lunch menu includes a selection of freshly made sandwiches, salads and specials including sausage rolls and Scotch eggs. We also offer a traditional English “Afternoon Tea” and a very generous full English breakfast.
We are committed to using only the finest, high-quality ingredients, and wherever possible we use buy organic, local and free-range produce.
There are two different rooms available for guests; the Main Tearoom, and The Children’s Tearoom. Within the children’s tearoom is a large, carefully thought-out play area so parents have somewhere for their children to play whilst they sit back and enjoy our food.
It is easy to park directly outside the tearoom, within the Jia Yi Hao compound. We are open every day from 10am to 7pm. Please see the ‘Contact Us’ page for directions.
